Places to go in Texas - Colorado Bend State Park. Enjoy the sound and beauty of Gorman Falls with Us

This video doesn’t do justice on how pretty and breathtaking this place is. You can’t go close to the falls because it is a protected area but you can still enjoy it’s beauty in the distance.

The hike is a little hard with 2 kids but it is worth it. Make sure you pack food and extra water when you do the hike specially in summer. Also this is out of nowhere so I suggest that you buy all the food you will need before heading there. No hotel nearby (I think 30 minutes drive to the closest town) but plenty of area to camp. Best if you reserved first but if you don’t the ranger can give you different areas to camp out from private owners. Planning is a key to make this trip more memorable with the kids.

Beside Big Bend National Park this is our second favorite place to hike in Texas. We highly recommend this place for places to go in Texas 😊

I know I am guilty of not giving my 100% to my kids and as I look at them I feel like I can do more. It is sad that most parents have to work more than they should to make the family survive and miss all the precious moments to be with their family. I know it is not easy, growing up with a single mom working 3 odd jobs every single day - family time is hardly at the table. Having this experienced growing up I want to make sure that I don't do it. I may be busy BUT despite all that, when I am with them I try to BE THERE and not do other stuff. 

One of the reason why I am giving myself 3 years to make this blog and YouTube channel work. Hoping to have my husband retired sooner rather than later so we can spend more time with the kids. I see #VanLife as the answer to that and that is what our goal is. We can't wait to have this dream come true and thank you for being a part of it!

Found this video of my son singing his favorite Filipino song Bahay kubo when he was little.

This song is one of my favorite song growing up coz it symbolizes my simple dream of having that simple life surrounded by what I love - Nature!

Can't believe I found it and now I am sharing it so I can have it as a constant reminder of the dream that never left my heart.

Found this old video of my then 4 year old son who loves Ferrari cars since he can understand stuff, he knows them by name just by looking at the back. Even the Ferrari store manager was very impressed that he can name them all. Ferrari cars are his favorite and we try to bring him to his happy place whenever we can despite the 1 hour and 30 minutes drive to get there.
